I've been a resident of St. Cloud since 1979. My interest in photography was sparked in 1980 when I was twelve years old. My parents bought me a Pentax K1000, a 100% manual camera. I wore that body out and purchased another just like it while serving in the U.S. Navy. While working with the City of St. Cloud providing Live Broadcast of the government meetings, I started experimenting with Digital Cameras. Since then I have converted all of my film equipment over to Digital compatible equipment. I now use high-end Digital Cameras, lenses and professional portable strobe lighting, and believe in redundancy to minimize the possibility of technical difficulties during photo sessions. I have a portable studio that I can bring on-location to satisfy your photographic needs. Browse my Photo Gallery located on my website for samples of my latest work. Wildlife and Nature photography held my interest in the beginning, with my interests turning a bit towards architecture while serving in the Navy and traveling the world. Over the past seven years, I have turned my studies in photography to people and lighting. It has been a great learning experience and has helped me to hone in my photography skills. I believe in continued learning, as such, I am currently enrolled in another photography school the New York Institute of Photography. I also graduated from Valencia Community College and earned my Associate in Arts Degree with a 4.0 average. This is another example of my goal of paying attention to detail and doing the best at anything I set my mind to. No job is too small or trivial. BTW, I still love to go out and photograph nature and wildlife when time permits.

 Thank you: Elaine Cardinal with Graphic Sign and Design of St. Cloud. She worked with me to get my lettering done for the rear window of my truck with information about my photography business. I explained what I was looking for and Elaine was able to come up with a solution. We set up the appointment for the lettering and she completed it in the time it took me to eat lunch at the restaurant next door. Photography Tip of the Month: In this Section, I will add information to help make your photography experience a success. If you have any questions you would like for me to cover in future articles, please email them to me. I will start the news letter with a question that I am asked before just about every photo session.
"What should I (we) wear?" - First, I can't go into too much detail on this subject as I don't know what people have in their wardrobe. I can help with general guidelines. Avoid bold colors and busy patterns that may distract from you, the subject. In most photo sessions, bring a few changes of clothing. Solids usually work well. Long sleeves can help bring attention to the subject. You will also want to consider if you want the session to be formal dress, casual or a combination of both. If you are preparing for a session such as an engagement or family portrait, choose clothing that matches or compliments one another. Remember to add some attention to footwear for full body photos.
Business Tip of the Month: Here I will add a business tip of the month. This can be anything a business would like to submit to me that may help better plan a family reunion, wedding, photo session, conference, or any other event including catering, hair, make-up, modeling, etc.
